He leads a range of drone-based imaging and mapping efforts and builds modern data-collection tools that improve accuracy and efficiency as well as field safety across multiple conservation programs. While his work spans many areas\, Zak focuses on innovation and the integration of new technologies that strengthen our capacity to meet long-term conservation and research goals in migratory bird\, island stewardship\, marine restoration\, coastal resilience\, and land protection programs. \n“We do our best work when science\, technology\, and teamwork come together.
