At the CRC, Sophia is integral to facilitating and conducting long-term ecological research, overseeing laboratory operations, and navigating research vessels along the ESVA seaside. She works closely with a collaborative team on diverse projects that deepen our understanding of coastal ecosystems.

Sophia earned her B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Michigan in 2018 and completed her M.S. in Biology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi during the pandemic in 2020.
